VLADISLAV GORANOV: INVESTING IN PEOPLE IS KEY FOR ANY GOVERNMENT

"Operational Programme Administrative Capacity is one of the best performing programmes and is an important tool for Government performance in three main directions - administrative reform, e-governance and reform of the judiciary", Deputy Minister of Finance Vladislav Goranov said at the opening of the Annual Information Event of OPAC. The progress and actual outcome of successful projects under OPAC, and the possibilities for financing in 2013 were presented at the forum. Goranov emphasized that as of November 2012 the Operational Programme had the best balance between contracted and actually paid funds of 37.2%.
According to the Deputy Finance Minister investing in people is key for any government. He emphasized that the training and enhancing the skills of central and local government administration employees had direct impact on the quality of services provided to citizens and businesses. The public sector, in its capacity of the biggest employer, has the task to build such capacity that would meet the needs of society for a modern and dynamic administration, Vladislav Goranov said.
