THE LATEST ISSUE OF THE MONTHLY REPORT JULY-AUGUST 2012 ON THE BULGARIAN ECONOMY HAS BEEN RELEASED

In the analysis you will find up-to-date information about the current economic development of Bulgaria for the period July-August 2012. In the second quarter of 2012 GDP has grown by 0.5% year on year (seasonally adjusted data), reporting upward adjustment compared to the previous quarter. Labour force monitoring shows drop in unemployment to 12.3% in Q2, while the continuing employment restructuring process has led to increase of labour productivity.

As a result of the accelerated growth of international food and energy prices and also due to one-off factors at the beginning of Q3 overall inflation has risen considerably from 1.6% in June year on year to 3.1% in August.
