09.07.2013
The possible effects and the impact assessment of the MoF action plan prepared in relation to the stabilization measures adopted by the Council of Ministers and the National Assembly to improve the social situation of Bulgarian citizens, the business environment and democratisation of governance were discussed at a meeting held today in the Ministry of Finance. Versions and wordings of certain texts as well as the implementation of a method to follow up the performance of some measures were discussed. Deputy Minister of Finance Lyudmila Petkova chaired the working group and representatives of the National Revenue Agency (NRA), the Customs Agency, the Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA), the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (CEIBG), the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association (BICA), the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria (NAMRB), the Confederation of the Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB) and MoF experts took part therein.
Deputy Minister Petkova specified that concrete administrative and legislative measures to increase budget revenues, to ease the administrative burden on the businesses and to improve the performance of the revenue agencies had been provided for in the draft action plan. Both joint actions and actions to be performed separately by the NRA and the Customs Agency have been foreseen. The final version of the plan will include the proposals made by all parties concerned and then it will be discussed in detail.
The working group was set up after a series of meetings last week where Minister of Finance Petar Chobanov presented to employers, social partners and the NAMRB measures to improve collection and streamline the work of the revenue agencies. The constructive dialogue and the discussion of the concrete measures will continue.
