OPAC BUDGET FOR MUNICIPAL ADMINISTRATION PROJECTS INCREASES BY BGN 7.5 MILLION
08.08.2013
The total amount of the grants under the procedure for selection of municipal administration projects under sub-priority 1.3 \"Effective coordination and partnership in the elaboration and conducting of policies\" of Operational Programme Administrative Capacity (OPAC) increases from BGN 6.5 million to BGN 14 million. The increase becomes a fact by a decision of the OPAC Monitoring Committee. The reason for this change is the extremely high interest from municipalities and the good quality of the calls for proposals submitted under the procedure.
In addition to that, the Indicative Annual Work Programme of OPAC for 2013 has also been amended. Thus, OPAC will provide BGN 2 million under a new procedure planned for the last four months of 2013 for training in the field of e-government and information technologies for the Ministry of Transport, Information Technologies and Communications. It has identified the need for training of its central administration staff and this gives grounds for its inclusion as a beneficiary under sub-priority 2.2 of OPAC. The decision has been taken because none of the training offered by the Institute of Public Administration has the scope and the subject of the training needed by the Ministry of Transport, Information Technologies and Communications.
