DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER AND MINISTER OF FINANCE SIMEON DJANKOV IS LEAVING FOR MOSCOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE “RUSSIA AND THE WORLD: CHALLENGES OF INTEGRATION”

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Simeon Djankov is leaving for Moscow to participate in the International Conference \"Russia and the World: Challenges of Integration\" at the invitation of the Russian Federation Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov. The Conference will take place on 16 - 19 January 2013 and is part of the Gaidar Forum. Minister Djankov will take part in the first day panel \"New Configuration of the Global Financial System\" where the lessons of the crisis for fiscal policy and whether macroeconomic policy needs coordination will be discussed. Moderators of the panel are Aleksei Kudrin, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Gaidar Institute for Economic Policy and Sergei Sinelnikov-Murylev, Rector of the Russian Foreign Trade Academy. Among the participants in the discussion are Anton Siluanov, Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, Aleksei Ulyukaev, First Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and others.

The Gaidar Forum is one of the key events dedicated to economic policy in Russia. It was founded in 2010 in memory of Yegor Gaidar, the architect of Russian economic reforms, and became one of the key fora to discuss ideas and approaches for understanding global processes on-going in Russia and the world as a whole.
