OPAC HELD A MEETING WITH MAGISTRATES ON E-JUSTICE

The OPAC Managing Authority discussed with the Supreme Judicial Council and the Ministry of Justice the possibilities for application under the new procedure for provision of grants to the amount of BGN 3 million. The money will be provided to enhance the effectiveness and transparency in the activity of the bodies of the judiciary through the introduction of integrated automatic information systems. The possibility to finance the set up of a centralized system of criminal record bureaus was also considered at today's meeting. The objective of the organized by OPAC forum is to improve the communication between institutions and to enhance the administrative capacity for preparation of good quality project proposals.
Almost 20 experts participated in the today's information day at the Ministry of Finance whose aim was to present the guidelines for application. Project proposals to increase the quality of the services provided to the citizens and the business sector through improvement and development of the system and the centralised portal for e-justice can be submitted until 31 May 2012.
The new procedure under OPAC is under Priority Axis ІІІ "Quality administrative service delivery and e-governance development", sub-priority 3.3 "Improvement of the service delivery provided by the bodies of the judiciary through development of information technologies". The minimum project value is BGN 250,000 and the maximum - BGN 3 million.
