A regular IMF Mission under Article IV of the Articles of Agreement of the institution headed by Catriona Purfield will be in Bulgaria in the period 20 September - 2 October. Within the mission the key short- and medium-term macroeconomic forecasts and assumptions will be discussed, as well as the policies ensuring economic growth, the drivers of economic recovery, the results of the ongoing structural reforms, etc. During the mission the IMF experts will meet with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Simeon Djankov, the Deputy Ministers Boryana Pencheva and Vladislav Goranov, MoF experts and representatives of the BNB, of the business and of the non-governmental sector.

At the opening meeting the Deputy Ministers of Finance Boryana Pencheva and Vladislav Goranov informed the IMF experts about Bulgaria\'s macroeconomic indicators and about the main principles and policies underlying the next year budget preparation.
