On 19 September 2022 the Ministry of Finance reopened an issue of BGN-denominated government securities (GS) maturing on 27 July 2026.

GS of an aggregate nominal value of BGN 200 million were offered successfully at the auction at a weighted average yield of 3,01%.

The total subscribed amount reached BGN 301.05 million, which corresponds to a bid-to-cover ratio of 1.51. The spread reported as against the analogous German Bunds is 147 basis points. The biggest amount of GS was acquired by banks – 61.2%, followed by guarantee funds – 16.0%, pension funds – 10.0%, insurance companies – 6.0%, investment intermediaries – 1.8% and others – 5.0%.
