The Republic of Bulgaria joins a Joint Statement on a Collective Engagement to Implement the Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework (CARF)
10.11.2023
The Republic of Bulgaria, together with 47 other jurisdictions, including almost all Member States of the European Union, joins a Joint Statement on a Collective Engagement to implement the international rules for the automatic exchange of information between tax authorities in charge of crypto-assets – the Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework (CARF), developed by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and approved on 26 August 2022. Bulgaria’s joining the statement was approved by a decision of the Council of Ministers on 1 November 2023.
The support for the joint statement by the Republic of Bulgaria is a signal of our country’s commitment to OECD activities and the fight against tax evasion; it also demonstrates our perseverance and consistent efforts for full membership.
Today, 10 November 2023, 48 jurisdictions from around the world publish the joint statement in support of the future implementation of CARF, which is scheduled to take place by the end of 2025: Collective Engagement to Implement the Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework.
