There will be no taxation for earnings from gambling, current accounts and savings deposits, said Deputy Minister of Finance Vladislav Goranov in an interview for TV7. He explained the mechanism for deposit earnings taxation which had been discussed with the Association of Banks and assured that the bank secret in the process of tax collection will be kept. Mr. Goranov is certain that the debate is not aimed at changing the tax system but rather at making the flat tax flat enough.

In the morning programme, the Deputy Minister also commented on the proposal of the GERG parliamentary group for the construction of new kindergartens. According to him, although more expensive, this option will help mothers return to their active professional life after the elapse of the first year of maternity leave rather than receiving some passive income. This policy should become sustainable and more kindergartens need to be built in a couple of years so as to cover all children in cities, he added.
