On the occasion of the 20^th anniversary of the first auction of dematerialized GS in Bulgaria held on 3 February 1992, the Ministry of Finance and the Bulgarian National Bank have published an anniversary bulletin named "20 Years of Issuance of Dematerialized GS in Bulgaria". The bulletin tracks the development of the issuance policy conducted by the Ministry of Finance as an element of the fiscal policy of Bulgarian governments in the modern history of Bulgaria.

This anniversary bulletin describes the various stages of development of the Bulgarian debt market and of its participants. Readers may become familiar with the major characteristics, the significance and the role of government securities as an instrument of financial markets and a main source for the attraction of borrowings.
