Deputy Prime Minister for EU Funds and Minister of Finance Mr. Assen Vassilev met a World Bank delegation headed by Ms. Gallina Vincelette, Regional Director for the European Union, and Mr. Fabrizio Zarcone, Resident Representative for Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Europe and Central Asia.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the parameters, the opportunities and the areas of future cooperation between Bulgaria and the Bank. The talks were held in the light of the forthcoming Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group and the IMF.

The World Bank instruments are targeted at supporting policies and projects which our country will try to implement in the coming years. The Bank also provides financial support to the countries that host refugees fleeing from the war in Ukraine.
