On 9 May 2022 the Ministry of Finance reopened an issue of 3.5-year BGN-denominated government securities (GS) maturing on 17 May 2025.

GS of an aggregate nominal value of BGN 300 million were offered successfully at the auction at a weighted average yield of 1,33%.

The total subscribed amount reached BGN 460.00 million, which corresponds to a bid-to-cover ratio of 1.53. The spread reported as against the analogous German Bunds is 78 basis points. The biggest amount of GS was acquired by banks – 47.6%, followed by pension funds – 34.9%, guarantee funds – 10.0%, insurance companies – 6.7% and investment intermediaries – 0.8%.
