The Ministry of Finance has launched a new issue of 3-year BGN-denominated government securities (GS) maturing on 17 February 2019. GS of BGN 200 million were offered at the auction held on 15 February at a weighted average yield of 0.36 per cent. The subscribed amount totalled BGN 340.95 million, which corresponds to a bid-to-cover ratio of 1.70. The spread to the German Bunds in this maturity segment is 80 basis points.

The biggest amount of GS was acquired by banks - 77.42%, followed by pension and guarantee funds - 21.07%, insurance companies and trust funds - 0.75% each.
