On 17 October 2022 the Ministry of Finance reopened an issue of BGN-denominated government securities (GS) with an original maturity of 5.5 years maturing on 28 March 2028.

GS of an aggregate nominal value of BGN 180.55 million were offered at the auction at a weighted average yield of 5.65%. The total subscribed amount reached BGN 208.20 million, which corresponds to a bid-to-cover ratio of 1.04. The spread reported as against the analogous German Bunds is 370 basis points. The biggest amount of GS was acquired by banks – 59.1%, followed by insurance companies – 30.7%, pension funds – 9.4%, guarantee funds – 0.7% and other investors – 0.1%.
