The Minister of Finance Vladislav Goranov will take part in the Economic and Financial Affairs Council of the European Union (ECOFIN) meeting to be held on 22 June 2018 in Luxembourg.

During the meeting the Presidency intends to achieve a general approach on the legislative package containing the so-called VAT "quick-fix". The agenda also includes a presentation of a progress report on the European Deposit Insurance Scheme and an exchange of views on the Convergence Reports from the Commission and the European Central Bank. Council Decisions and Recommendations on the implementation of the Stability and Growth Pact are expected to be adopted and Council Recommendations on the National Reform Programmes 2018 to each Member State and Council Opinions on the updated Stability or Convergence Programmes are to be approved.
