The monthly Government Debt bulletin for June has been published in Government Debt and Financial Markets/Statistics section on the website of the Ministry of Finance.

Under the official register of government debt kept by the Ministry of Finance, as of the end of June the latter amounted to EUR 4 775,6 million of which EUR 1 441,3 million domestic government debt and EUR 3 334,4 million external government debt. The debt has decreased by around EUR 13.5 million in nominal terms compared to the previous month.

The government guaranteed debt in June was EUR 614,7 million. The government guaranteed debt has decreased by around EUR 2.6 million in nominal terms compared to the end of the previous month. The reduction is mainly due to the payments made during the month.

At the end of the reported period the government debt/ GDP* ratio is 14%, the reduction being 0.1 percentage points compared to May. This indicator comprises external government debt - 9.8%, and domestic government debt - 4.2% of GDP. The government guaranteed debt/GDP is 1.8%.

In the government debt structure at the end of the period domestic debt amounted to 30.2 %, and external - 69.8%.

The debt payments made in June amount to BGN 81,6 million of which: BGN 67,2 million external and BGN 14,4 million domestic debt. As regards the currency composition of payments the greatest is the BGN share - 55,7%, followed by those in Euro - 32,6%, in US$  - 10.1% and in other currency - 1,6%.
