Information campaign country-wide ends

Almost 200 representatives of local government administrations took part in the information days on the occasion of the new open procedure "Effective structure of public administration" under Operational Programme Administrative Capacity. A total of BGN 5 million will be disbursed thereunder for improving the services to citizens and business.

Experts of the Managing Authority of OPAC presented the terms and documents for application and recalled the most frequent errors made in the submission of project proposals, for instance, bad assembly of application documents due to which projects are often rejected as early as the first stage of assessment. In the course of the information campaign it became clear that the approval of a project and the size of its financing depend on its quality rather than on the size of the municipality. During the information days an emphasis was also put on the need to make realistic budgets since the major mistakes are made at the stage of application when drafting the budgets of the respective items as well as the insufficiently clear setting of target groups.

The minimum cost of projects to be financed is BGN 50,000, with the upper limit being BGN 200,000. The period of project implementation will be 18 months. The deadline for submission of project proposals is April 17. The full set of documents for application may be found on the website of OPAC.

The information days were organized in Sofia, Plovdiv, Bourgas, Varna, Lovech and Vratsa.
