The first meeting between the Minister of Finance Assen Vassilev and the US Ambassador to Bulgaria Kenneth Merten took place today.

They discussed the opportunities to deepen US-Bulgarian economic ties and cooperation to ensure our shared security, including investment screening and joint efforts to improve fiscal transparency.

Deputy Chief of Mission Andrea Brouillette-Rodriguez and Secretary for Political and Economic Affairs Marina Grayson also took part in the meeting.
