A request for refunding BGN 6,356,462 has been made from the Managing Authority of Operational Programme Administrative Capacity to the European Commission in connection to the enhanced verification of contracts at the end of the programming period. New contracts under all operational programmes were signed with beneficiaries in the first week of October to the amount of BGN 26 million, with almost 90% of them being under OPAC. They total BGN 22,600,611.

BGN 50 million have been contracted and disbursed under the Programme since the start of the year and the contracted budget has thus reached almost BGN 317 million, or 89.6%. Over BGN 180 million, or 52%, of the OPAC budget have been paid to beneficiaries for real activities. The approved costs incurred by OPAC beneficiaries after 1 January 2007 total BGN 154,229,526. This outcome was announced in Brussels as part of the Days of Open Doors Initiative which is organized for the 11^th year by the Committee of the Regions and Directorate General for Regional and Urban Policy of the European Commission.
