In the period 11 November - 13 December 2014 the Ministry of Finance provided the amount of BGN 373,3 million to the Managing Authorities of the Operational Programmes. Within this period the amount paid under OP "Environment" was BGN 157,8 million and the amount paid under OP "Regional Development" exceeded BGN 45,7 million.  The resources were provided from the national budget with the aim to minimize the risk of losing funds and to make up for the delay in the implementation of the projects as a result of the temporary freezing of the payments under OP "Environment" and two of the priority axes of OP "Regional Development".

The joint efforts of all authorities responsible for EU Funds' management in Bulgaria have led to achieving an exceptional progress in the elimination of the gaps and shortcomings found in the management and control systems of OP "Environment" and OP "Regional Development". As a result of these efforts, in November the European Commission resumed the payments under OP "Environment" and the expectations are the funds under OP "Regional Development" to be unfrozen by the end of the year, too.
