Minister of Finance Rumen Porodzanov will take part in the informal meeting of the Economic and Financial Ministers Council (ECOFIN) to be held from 11 to 13 September 2014 in Milan, Italy.

The topics on the agenda are finance for growth and international cooperation in financial services, as well as initiatives promoting investment and structural reforms. The ministers of finance will discuss the state of play in the Banking Union, the European Unemployment Insurance Scheme. The Council is expected to give a mandate for the G-20 finance ministers and central bank governors' meeting on 18-21 September 2014 in Kearns, Australia.

Within the ECOFIN meeting there will be an Asia-Europe Finance Ministers' Meeting to discuss the global and economic problems and the potential opportunities for economic cooperation between Europe and Asia.
