On proposal by Minister of Finance Vladislav Goranov Prime Minister Boyko Borisov appointed Feyzi Bekir as Deputy Minister of Finance. In the fulfilment of his duties Feyzi Bekir will be responsible for the State Financial Inspection Agency, the State Commission on Gambling, the National Compensation Housing Fund as well as for the work of the Internal Control Directorate at MoF.

Until his appointment Feyzi Bekir was Deputy Regional Governor of Kardjali. Before that he had been Director of Euroins AD insurance company, Kardjali. He was two times elected member of the municipal council from PP GERB in the local municipal council.

He has a Bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Economics at Istanbul University. He has a Master's degree in EU Funds and Programmes from the Agricultural University in Plovdiv.
