Minister of Finance Vladislav Goranov had a meeting with the head of the Swiss Federal Department of Finance H. E. Ueli Maurer. During the meeting Minister Goranov presented to his counterpart the priorities within the remit of the Ministry of Finance in the Programme of the 2018 Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU in the area of tax policy, financial services and financial markets as well as the enhancement of the Economic and Monetary Union. H. E. Ueli Maurer congratulated the Bulgarian Ministry of Finance on its ambitious programme and expressed his support for the focuses contained therein.

The topics of discussion also included the relations between Switzerland and the European Union, the economic environment and the possibilities for EU growth.
