At its meeting today, the Eurogroup, in the presence of Minister of Finance Vladislav Goranov and the Governor of the BNB Dimitar Radev, discussed their joint letter from 29 June 2018 stating the intentions of the Bulgarian authorities to join the ERM II and the Banking Union.

The Eurogroup unanimously supported Bulgaria’s intentions in the areas of banking supervision, financial sector and institutional quality and governance.

The Eurogroup pointed out that the constructive discussions over the past few months on the roadmap for the participation of the Bulgarian lev in the ERM II had led to a successful result.
