The Minister of Finance Petar Chobanov will take part in an extraordinary meeting of the ECOFIN Council which will be held in Brussels today. The only item on the agenda is the discussion of the proposal for a Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a framework for recovery and resolution of credit institutions and investment firms. The finance ministers did not reach an agreement on this issue after the long discussions during the regular meeting held on 21 June 2013.
