The Ministry of Finance successfully placed 9-month Government Securities (GS) with nominal value BGN 400 million. At the auction held on 27 January 2014 the annual average weighted yield achieved is 0.58%, while the annual yield - 0.44%. The total amount subscribed reached BGN 843.8 million, the coverage coefficient being 2.11. The biggest amount of GS acquired banks - 70.00%, followed by guarantee funds - 14.15%, pension funds - 13.02% and other investors - 2.83%.

The annual average weighted yield achieved at the auction held on 27 January 2014 is lower than that on the placed on 6 January 6-month GS for BGN 400 million, the indicator then being 0.6%. This level is lower than the one achieved at the auctions for 9-month government bonds in EU Member States such as Italy (0.83%), Spain (0.84%) and Hungary (2.84%).
