On 17 October another tranche of BGN 5.8 million was received from the European Commission under Operational Programme Administrative Capacity (OPAC). Thus, the currently reimbursed OPAC funds total BGN 217,622,451, which accounts for 61.5% of the programme budget.

At the same time the process of enhanced verification is going on as a result of which on 13 October the OPAC managing Authority prepared a new certification report requesting the reimbursement of BGN 9.1 million. This amount includes the expenditures verified by the OPAC team for September and is a record one for this year. The National Fund Directorate is expected to certify those funds by the end of October.

Another record achievement for the Programme is the amount of funds paid out to beneficiaries. From the beginning of 2014 until now OPAC has paid BGN 63 million, with a total of BGN 252.3 million, or 71.4% of the overall OPAC budget, having been paid out since the beginning of the programme period in 2007.
