THE GENERAL MEETING OF SHAREHOLDERS OF THE BDB ELECTED ASSOC. PROF. KRASSIMIR ANGARSKI MEMBER OF THE SUPERVISORY BOARD

Financier Assoc. Prof. Krassimir Angarski has been elected member of the Supervisory Board of the Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB) at an extraordinary meeting of shareholders. He replaces Kiril Ananiev who has been appointed Minister of Finance in the Caretaker Government and, as per the legal provisions, is not entitled to be a member of the Supervisory Board of BDB, 99.9% of whose capital is owned by the state represented by the Ministry of Finance.
Assoc. Prof. Krassimir Angarski was born in 1953 in Sofia. He has graduated at the Higher Institute of Economics "Karl Marx". In 1980 he started working at the Ministry of Finance, reaching the position of director of the tax office for the district of Sofia as well as for the city of Sofia. In 1994-1995 Assoc. Prof. Angarski was Executive Director of the Bank Consolidation Company and was part of the management of various state-owned enterprises. From 24 March to 21 May 1997 he was Minister without Portfolio in the cabinet of Stefan Sofiyanski and was actively involved in the preparation for the introduction of the currency board arrangement. He headed the group for development of the currency board laws.
After that he became Secretary for Economic Affairs of President Petar Stoyanov In 2001-2004 Assoc. Prof. Krassimir Angarski was Executive Director of DSK Bank and at the beginning of 2005 he stood at the head of DZI Bank. At the beginning of 2007 he became adviser at Post Bank He is lecturer at the University of National and World Economy.
