Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Simeon Djankov participates in an informal ECOFIN meeting on 14-15 September 2012 in Nicosia, Cyprus. The agenda includes issues related to the up-to-date economic situation, the state of bank and debt markets, and shadow banking. The meeting is expected to discuss follow up actions after the June 2012 European Council regarding the proposal for the banking union and the establishment of a single supervisory mechanism. The 12^th ministerial meeting of the Facility for Euro-Mediterranean Investment and Partnership (FEMIP) countries will be held within the framework of the meeting.
