The Ministry of Finance did not approve the subscription of the auction held on 23 June 2014 for the sale of 2.5-year government securities (GS) which are BGN-denominated, issued on 26 March 2014 and mature on 26 September 2016. The decision of the Ministry of Finance corresponds with the market status and with the participants' interest in the actions taken by the issuer to hold meetings with investors in connection with the issuance of GS on the international capital markets.

The Ministry of Finance will continue its balanced and flexible policy of government debt management, with debt being one of the lowest ones across the EU, by taking account of both the market status and prospects, and the need to secure diversified sources of financing.
