14 small municipalities will be invited to sign contracts to perform functional analysis with financing from Operational Programme Administrative Capacity to achieve higher effectiveness and efficiency of municipal administrations. Six of the approved municipalities - Kameno, Krichim, Apriltsi, Belitsa, Strumyani and Mirkovo will be implementing projects under the Programme for the first time. The Managing Authority assumes as positive the fact that the organizational structure, the working processes and the coordination in 14 more municipalities located in all planning regions of the country will be improved.

The financing of these projects has become possible by decision of the OPAC Monitoring Committee to increase the overall amount of funds under Procedure 1.1-07 from BGN 4 million to over BGN 5 million. All 63 approved projects are to be contracted within the next two months. The total amount under Procedure 2.4-11 has also been increased by the same decision - from BGN 650 000 to almost BGN 1.2 million. The additional funds will be used to enhance the professional qualification of judges, judicial assistants, clerks of court, prosecutors and investigating magistrates.
